I-10 and Tangerine Road Underpass Improvements – Lane Restrictions

REVISED UPDATE: 

Due to recent rain events, Borderland Construction has postponed the start of the north soil nail wall improvements. Work has been rescheduled for Monday, July 20, pending favorable weather conditions. 

Construction personnel will be on site from 3:00 AM to 4:00 PM to install new roadway markings and to move construction operations to the north wall.

Travel through the underpass will continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction. Drivers can expect intermittent lane shifts to install pavement markings. Travel time through the project area may increase during construction so please adjust your schedule accordingly. 

Hours of Operation for Lane Restrictions: 24 hours 7 days a week. Please be aware of traffic control devices in the work area.

ORIGINAL ALERT:

Starting Tuesday, July 14th, Borderland Construction will have a subcontractor working on the north side improvements for the new soil nail wall to create a new abutment lane.  

Travel through the underpass will be restricted to one lane each direction. Please be aware of traffic control devices in the work area.

Eastbound Tangerine Road: Drivers heading onto  Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to a single lane. Plan for slower traffic and allow extra travel time. This configuration will be in place until September 1, 2026.
