The Marana Regional Airport (AVQ) is classified as a general aviation reliever airport for Tucson International. It is located approximately 15 nautical miles northwest of Tucson and is 5 miles west of Interstate 10 on Avra Valley Road. The airport is home to more than 260 based aircraft and had more than 90,000 takeoffs and landings in 2014. The airport's main runway is 6,901 feet and the crosswind runway is 3,892 feet.

Marana Regional Airport has been accepted into the Federal Contract Tower Program. The anticipated schedule is as follows:

Drone Education

New Airport Noise Abatement Program
With safety always in mind, and in an effort to minimize noise to our residents, Marana Regional Airport has adopted a voluntary Noise Abatement Program (VNAP).
