Eligibility
  •  High School Diploma/G.E.D./Equivalent
  •  U.S. Citizen
  •  21 Years old or older by academy graduation
  • Great Character
  •  No felony convictions
  •  Valid Driver’s License
  •  Must be willing to work shift work (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • No pattern of drug abuse
  • No unlawful use of marijuana within the last 6 months
  • No unlawful use of a narcotic or dangerous drug within the past seven (7) years

Benefits
  • Starting pay for police officer: $31.5885/Hour ($65,704.08/year)

NEW RECRUIT PROCESS - The application period will open November 2nd, 2026 and will close on November 30th, 2026. A new applicant orientation night will be hosted on November 17th, 2026 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at our Headquarters located at 11555 W. Civic Center Dr. BLDG D.

There is currently an open and continuous hiring process open to qualified lateral police officer applicants.
