Interstate 10 at Tangerine Road Long-Term Lane Restrictions

Tangerine Road Long-Term Lane Restrictions

Beginning Monday, May 18, through Tuesday, September 1, Borderland Construction will start improvements to the south side of the underpass at Interstate 10 (I-10) and Tangerine Road. Improvements to the north side will follow; further traffic alerts will be provided.

The westbound I-10 off-ramp at Tangerine Road (Exit 240) will be narrowed to only one left-turn lane. East- and westbound Tangerine Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the underpass limits.

Drivers should plan for extra travel time during peak commute times. Motorists are encouraged to use Avra Valley (Exit 240) to Sanders Road for westbound Tangerine access and Twin Peaks (Exit 244) for eastbound access to avoid construction. Please be aware of construction personnel and traffic control devices in the work area.

Also beginning on May 18th, eastbound I-10 on-ramp traffic will be configured with dual right turn-lanes. Please be aware travel lanes will merge into one lane before entering I-10 freeway.
