MARANA- The Marana Police Department’s Launchpad Life Skills Camp for teens is opening applications for a second summer following a successful inaugural year.
The one-week immersive experience is designed to help juniors and seniors prepare for life beyond high school. The program focuses on essential skills such as resume building, interview preparation, basic money management, and career exploration. Participants will also be able to take part in behind-the-scenes tours of local organizations, including the Town of Marana, the Marana Police Department, and other community partners, giving students an up-close look at what different careers are really like day to day.
Created for students asking, “What’s next?” LaunchPad helps bridge the gap between school and the real world by encouraging students to ask questions and connect with professionals.
“Bringing LaunchPad back for a second year shows our continued commitment to Marana’s youth,” said Marana Police Chief Jeffrey Pridgett. “By working together as a community, we hope to help students gain confidence, develop practical skills, and prepare for what comes next.”
“LaunchPad is an innovative and fun class that our young people can use to help them with the next steps after high school. It will help give them confidence and make them better prepared for life after high school. We are excited to be able to host this great course for our youth," said Sergeant Jimmy Rizzi.
