Arrest Made Following Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation

Marana, AZ – In February of 2026, the Marana Police Department was contacted by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office (California) in reference to a criminal investigation they were conducting related to child sexual abuse material. The suspect was identified as 66-Year-old Steven Davison, who resided in the Town of Marana. A joint investigation was initiated between the two agencies. An arrest warrant was obtained for Steven Davison out of California. MPD Detectives, along with the assistance of investigators from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, responded to Steven’s residence on May 7th, 2026. Steven was located and detained. A search warrant was served at the residence, where items related to the investigation were located and taken as evidence.

Steven has been booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on the following:

  • Sexual Exploitation of a minor (Class 2 Felony) – 10 Counts
  • Possessing a child sex doll (Class 4 Felony) – 3 Counts
  • Fugitive from Justice 
  • Out of state arrest warrant

This remains an active investigation. No further details are available currently.
