Andrea De La Cruz has been appointed as Assistant Town Manager, effective Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

De La Cruz joined the Town of Marana in February 2022 as Assistant to the Town Manager. Since then, she has played an instrumental role in advancing the Town's strategic priorities by overseeing implementation of the Town's Strategic Plan, serving as a liaison with external stakeholders, advocating for Marana's interests at the state level, and leading numerous high-impact initiatives that support the community's continued growth and success.

"As the Town continues to experience significant growth, we recognized the need to expand the leadership capacity within the Town Manager's Office," said Town Manager Terry Rozema. "We previously had an Assistant Town Manager position, and with the increasing demands and opportunities facing our organization, it was the right time to reestablish this role.”

In her new role as Assistant Town Manager, De La Cruz will serve as a key member of the Town's executive leadership team. She will oversee the Parks & Recreation and Community & Neighborhood Services departments, and the Tourism and Communications divisions of the Town Manager’s Office, while also helping lead the Town's economic development efforts.

“Andrea has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to public service. Her knowledge of our organization, collaborative approach, and passion for this community make her the ideal person to help lead Marana into its next chapter,” said Rozema.

Before joining the Town of Marana, De La Cruz served in both the Town Manager's Office and the Economic Development Department for the Town of Sahuarita, where she gained valuable experience in municipal operations and economic development.

"I'm honored to serve as Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Marana," said De La Cruz. "Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team of dedicated public servants. I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our residents in this new capacity and look forward to helping advance Marana's vision for the future."

Beyond her professional responsibilities, De La Cruz serves on the Board of Directors for the Marana Food Bank and Community Resource Center, is a past president of the Rotary Club of Marana and serves on the Community Advisory Board for the University of Arizona's Master of Public Administration program.

De La Cruz holds bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Spanish Translation and Interpretation, along with a Master of Public Administration degree, all from the University of Arizona.

A proud Marana resident, De La Cruz is honored to serve the community she calls home and is grateful to be raising her daughter in Marana.
