Arrest Made Following Luring Investigation
Marana Police respond to reports of suspicious individual approaching juveniles in the Continental Reserve Community
Marana, AZ – On Monday July 21st, 2025, at approximately 4:20 PM, officers from the Marana Police Department were dispatched to the area of Silverbell and Coachline to investigate a report of suspicious activity. Officers were informed a male individual associated with a blue SUV approached 2 juveniles and made sexually explicit comments to them. At approximately 5:34 PM, officers received an additional similar report involving a male in an SUV approaching 3 juveniles and making sexually explicit comments to them as well. On July 22nd, 2025, at approximately 11:12 AM, a third report was received by the Marana Police Department involving a similar vehicle and adult male approaching 2 children to speak to attempt to speak to them. The third reported incident occurred on July 20, 2025.
Officers collected statements, gathered evidence, and conducted follow-up into this case. Officers located the adult individual involved, who was identified as 32 year-old Robert Giese. Based on the investigation and evidence collected, Robert Giese was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for the following:
· Luring a minor for sexual exploitation (Class 3 Felony) – 2 Counts
