MARANA- The Town of Marana has proclaimed April 25, 2025, as Arbor Day.
During the April 15, 2025 council meeting, Mayor Jon Post presented the Town of Marana Arbor Day Proclamation to Parks & Recreation Superintendent Dominic Rullo along with Town certified Arborists Dave Herman and Adam Huff.
The Town of Marana Parks & Recreation Department takes great pride in managing the Town’s tree inventory.
The Town has celebrated Arbor Day since 2006 with tree plantings supported by volunteers and is also a Tree City USA, designated by the Arbor Day Foundation.
Marana also received a Growth Award in 2024 due to adding another arborist certification.
Arbor Day was first observed with the planting of more than one million trees in Nebraska and is now observed around the world.
