Mayor Post presents proclamation to Northwest Fire District

MARANA- The Town of Marana has proclaimed the month of October 2025 as Fire Prevention Month.

The Town is proud to support the Northwest Fire District’s mission of saving lives, protecting property and caring for our community.

Northwest Fire District first responders are dedicated to reducing home fires and injuries through prevention, protection and education.

The theme of this year’s Fire Prevention Week is “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” Fire Prevention week was observed October 5-11,2025. The goal is to remind the public about the importance of using, charging and recycling lithium-ion batteries safely to reduce the risk of house fires.
