MARANA – As students head back to class next month, expect to see more Marana Police Officers on the roads.
The Marana Police Department will be increasing traffic enforcement over the coming weeks, thanks to a grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
Officers remind drivers to slow down and follow all traffic laws, especially in school zones. The speed limit in a school zone is 15 miles per hour, and drivers must always stop for children in crosswalks as well as for school buses with flashing lights.
Please obey posted speed limits and all traffic control devices. Always wear your seatbelt and remember that it is illegal to use a handheld electronic device while driving.
