MARANA, AZ – The Town of Marana invites residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Star-Spangled Spectacular, held Friday, July 4, 2025, at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park. In partnership with Watson Chevrolet, this free community event will begin at 5:00 p.m., with live entertainment, food vendors, inflatables, games, car show, and a fireworks display scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring coolers, but glass containers are not permitted.

  • PARKING: Courtesy shuttles are being provided by the Town at two parking locations: Coyote Trails Elementary (8000 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743) and Mountain Vista Academy (8333 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743).  Only guests with handicap plates or placards will be permitted to park at Crossroads Park while spots are available.

Attendees are reminded to take precautions to stay safe and comfortable on this hot summer day:

  • HEAT SAFETY: With temperatures expected to be high, attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated by bringing refillable water bottles. Water stations and a cooling area will be available on-site.
  • WATER SAFETY: The splash pad and other water features are available for children and families to enjoy, but all users should be supervised to prevent slips, overheating, or accidental injuries. Note: The splash pad will close at 8PM.
  • PETS: While the event is pet-friendly, bringing dogs is strongly discouraged due to the combination of large crowds, high temperatures, and loud noises from the fireworks. If guests do choose to bring pets, they should keep them leashed at all times and:
    • Provide adequate water and shade,
    • Use paw protection to prevent burns from hot pavement, and
    • Consider leaving before the fireworks begin to avoid unnecessary stress for their animals.
  • FIREWORKS: For guest safety, personal fireworks, sparklers, and incendiary devices are not permitted in the park.

The Town of Marana will work closely with first responders in the region to mitigate the risk of incidents at the Star-Spangled Spectacular.
