Alternating Daytime Lane Restrictions for Dove Mountain Blvd Project

UPDATE 9/30/2025: The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to prepare for a daytime road closure on Heritage Gateway for traffic signal installation as part of this project.

The closure is planned for Thursday, October 2nd from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Heritage Getaway will be CLOSED at the intersection of Heritage Gateway and Dove Mountain Boulevard. 
  • DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking Heritage Club Drive at Dove Mountain Boulevard as a detour to access the main gate at The Highlands at Dove Mountain.

ADOT reminds motorists to plan for delays, proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.


The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to prepare for alternating daytime lane restrictions on north and southbound Dove Mountain Boulevard at Moore Road beginning on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The work is scheduled from September 29th through October 31, 2025 for traffic signal installation as crews continue working on the Dove Mountain Boulevard project.

According to ADOT, lane restrictions will happen from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • North- and southbound Dove Mountain Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane at Moore Road.  
  • The North- and southbound Dove Mountain Boulevard left-turn lanes at Moore Road will be restricted as needed. Left turns will still be permitted. 
  • Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the project area. Note: Only one direction will be impacted at a time. 
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

The South gate of the Highlands will be temporarily impacted by this project. Exact days and time to be determined. Please contact your HOA representative for more information.
