“Wings Over Marana” commemorates the pivotal role of the North American AT-6 Texan in Marana’s history and its enduring impact during World War II.

ART PROJECT TEAM:

Marana High School Student Artists: Gabriel Avenenti, Brandon Gilbert, Brayden Riggs, Aleksandria Gabbard
MUSD Welding Instructors: Mario Favela, Brett Fischer

The installation was created through a collaborative partnershipbetween the Marana Unified School District (MUSD) and the Pima Association of Governments (PAG), as part of the Transportation Art By Youth (TABY) program.
