If you are required to pay fines, penalties, fees or other financial obligations as a result of a judgment of this court and you are unable to pay, bring this information to the attention of court staff or the judge. Payments over time or other alternatives may be available. Do not ignore your responsibility to pay, as this may result in additional penalties and costs to you. Currently marriage licenses can not be obtained at the Marana Municipal Court. You may obtain your marriage license at the Pima County Superior Court.

To quash (cancel) a warrant, you have the following options:

Option 1

Submit a motion to the court or mail motion to the court.

• To submit motion to the Court, fill out the Self-Represented Motion Form and it will be sent to the Court and prosecutor upon submission.
• If mailing your motion, mail it to: Marana Municipal Court 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, Bldg C, Marana, AZ 85653

A Judge will review your motion and make a ruling which will be mailed or emailed to you.

Option 2

Post a bond to quash the warrant and get your case scheduled for a hearing.

You can post a cash bond to get your warrant quashed, contact the court at (520) 382-2700 or court@MaranaAz.gov for information on the bond amount for your warrant and how to post it.

You may attend a Defensive Driving School (DDS) course if:

• You have not attended DDS for dismissal of a traffic violation received within the past 12 months (violation date to violation date).
• You were cited for an eligible civil traffic violation.
• Your charge was not issued as the result of an accident involving death or serious physical injury.
• Your charge has not already been paid or set for a trial or hearing

CDL Holders:
A commercial driver license holder MAY be able to attend defensive driving school providing the holder was driving a non-commercial vehicle and the vehicle was not being used for commercial purposes.

You may have received more than one charge on your citation/complaint. If you are eligible to attend DDS you may only attend for one violation, you will need to contact the court to address the additional violations listed on your citation/complaint. To determine eligibility and register to attend a Defensive Driving School (DDS) course, go to www.azdrive.com or call 1-888-334-5565. You must enroll and complete DDS seven (7) days prior to the court date listed on your complaint. Typically, in a criminal case you aren’t entitled to a court-appointed lawyer unless you’d be sentenced to serve jail time if convicted (found guilty). You can discuss your eligibility for a court-appointed lawyer with the Judge at your next court date.

You may apply for a protective order online at azpoint.azcourts.gov or a paper petition may be obtained from the court. You can file your petition at any Arizona court. If you complete your petition online and you’d like to file it with the Marana Municipal Court call the court at (520) 382-2700 and provide them with your confirmation number before appearing. Your hearing may be held telephonically.

If you are a Defendant or a Victim in a case you are entitled to receive a copy of your police report from the Marana Prosecutor's Office. You may contact them at prosoffice@maranaaz.gov or (520) 382-1942 to inquire about receiving a copy.

On fulfillment of the conditions of probation or sentence, including the payment of all monetary obligations and restitution to all victims, you may be eligible under A.R.S. § 13-911 for an order that seals all case records of your arrest, conviction, and sentence that are related to the criminal offense(s) in this case by filing in the court where you were convicted a petition to seal all case records under A.R.S. § 13-911. To be eligible, a petition to seal the case records cannot have been denied in the past three years, and the timeframes required by A.R.S. § 13-911 must have passed. Additional information and forms for this process are available online from the Arizona Judicial Branch Self-Service Center.

Note: A person convicted of any of the offenses listed in A.R.S. § 13-911(O) cannot petition to have criminal case records sealed under A.R.S. § 13-911.
