MARANA- The Marana Town Council has approved a new Strategic Plan outlining goals and strategies for future decision-making.
The Strategic Plan 5 details steps to be taken over the next two to three years to reach those long-term goals and make sure Marana continues to deliver five-star service to its residents.
A new change to this Strategic Plan includes a performance management software called Envisio which will allow staff to create a public dashboard to track the town’s progress.
The strategic plan is built on the following five focus areas that reflect Council’s vision for Marana:
· Cherished Heritage
· Vibrant Community
· Thriving Commerce
· Healthy Lifestyle
· Proactive Public Services
The Town of Marana’s mission statement is “Five-star service for a thriving community.”
Mayor Ed Honea and Town Council first identified a need for a strategic plan in mid-2008. The initial Strategic Plan was adopted by Mayor and Council on February 3, 2009.
