ADOT Traffic Alert: Interstate-10 pavement life extension project in Marana begins May 15

Expect overnight lane closures between Ina and Marana roads.

Motorists on Interstate 10 between Ina and Marana roads in Marana should expect overnight lane closures starting Sunday, May 15, while crews complete a pavement life extension project.

The project includes removing and replacing the driving surface of the travel lanes along with deeper spot repairs in certain locations. Work will be limited to the driving lanes; no repairs will be made to the shoulders or ramps within the work zone.

Crews will work Sunday nights through Friday mornings for about two months. Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., I-10 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction. Intermittent ramps closures will be required when crews are working immediately adjacent to an on- or off-ramp.

All travel lanes will be open to traffic outside of the work hours.

Motorists should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
