Location: Marana Main Street Roundabout
The Town of Marana will begin construction of a roundabout beautification and art installation project inside the Sandario Road and Marana Main Street Roundabout beginning March 21.
Construction operations will restrict the width of the travel lane and will close the roundabout for large commercial vehicles. A regional truck detour will be marked to direct commercial traffic from the interstate to the frontage road using Grier Road to complete the detour to Sandario Road. Commercial vehicles can still deliver to businesses north of the roundabout.
The roundabout will be open to passenger vehicles, but motorists should expect delays and use additional caution, as there will be increased construction activity and pedestrians at the traffic circle. Construction is anticipated to take 3 months.
For your safety and that of the contractor’s personnel, please comply with traffic control devices, flagging personnel, and/or detour signs. Travel time through the project area may increase during construction so please adjust your schedule accordingly. Construction may restrict traffic lanes and create congestion. Taking alternate routes is suggested. If inclement weather or other events cause delays, the work may be rescheduled without further notice.
