MARANA- It’s that time of year again when we are cooking up those holiday meals and the Town of Marana wants to remind you to do your part to prevent clogged pipes.
Please remember not to throw any grease down the drain this holiday season.
The Town of Marana and its partner Grecycle are kicking off the 2022/2023 Holiday Season Grease Collection & Recycling Event to encourage you not to pour your cooking grease down the drain.
Instead, pour your grease into a container and toss it in the trash or take it to our convenient grease collection location.
Pouring grease down your drain can:
Clog your pipes
Force costly repair bills
Cause raw sewage to back up into your home
The self-service grease drop-off site is located at the North Marana Water Operations Yard at 12775 N. Sanders Road.
The collected grease will be recycled into biodiesel, a cleaner-burning fuel than regular diesel.
