On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, the Airline/Lambert Water Treatment Campus Grand Opening was held virtually for the public. This water treatment campus is currently running and treated water is now currently being delivered to the Airline/Lambert Water System. The Picture Rocks treatment campus is projected to be running the week of March 29th.

In 2016, to continue providing high-quality service and product to our customers, Marana Water began a voluntary water sampling program to test for the unregulated compounds 1,4-dioxane and PFAs.

The Town of Marana Council made a unanimous decision on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 to pursue design and construction of a water treatment facility for each of the two impacted systems in Marana Water found to contain unregulated compounds. Now in 2021, those treatment campuses are completed.

Marana staff does daily rounds to ensure all equipment is working. The system tests for PFAs and 1,4-Dioxane are taken at least once a month and take about three weeks to be sampled. To learn more about PFAs and find out which treatment campus your address connects to, click here.
