Elected Officials urge Southern Arizona to celebrate Passover and Easter safely

Town of Marana Mayor Honea joined other Mayors of Southern Arizona along with the Chairman of the Pima County Board of Supervisors in releasing a public service announcement urging Arizonans not to congregate at public parks during the upcoming Easter and Passover celebrations.

In accordance with Governor Ducey’s decision to close amenities at public parks that do not allow for recommended physical distancing, Mayors Romero (Tucson), Murphy (Sahuarita), Winfield (Oro Valley), Teso (South Tucson), Honea (Marana) and Chairman Valadez (Pima County) are advising families to celebrate safely by avoiding large gatherings at public parks and practicing social distancing whenever possible.
