Terry Rozema was appointed Town Manager in January of 2021, bringing over 40 years of local government experience and over 30 years of management/leadership roles. As the Town Manager, he is responsible for implementing Town Council policies, overseeing all municipal operations, and guiding strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of life of Marana residents. His approach to public sector management and community engagement has been instrumental in helping Marana become a thriving community.
Prior to becoming Town Manager, Terry served as the Town of Marana’s Police Chief since January 2011. Before that, he served nearly 24 years with the Tucson Police Department, finishing his career as an Assistant Chief.
Terry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Calvin College. He is also a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy and the Senior Management Institute for Police. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his service by way of various commendations and medals, including the Medal of Merit, Chief’s Citation of Excellence, Medal of Service, Distinguished Career Medal, and 2015 Marana Rotary Club Man of the Year. Terry also received the Erik Hite Foundation First Responder Family of the Year Award in 2016, the 2020 AZ Police Chief of the Year Award, and the 2021 Robert J. DeVries Police Accreditation Leadership Award.
Terry and his wife, Kathy, have five children and three grandchildren.
