EXPLORE THE SPECTACULAR TORTOLITA MOUNTAINS

Join Marana Parks & Recreation for a guided hike with our knowledgeable and safety-conscious guides. Guides will lead participants along well maintained trails while talking about the unique features and creatures of the Sonoran Desert. The Town of Marana Parks and Recreation Department offers this series of monthly hikes as way for participants to learn, burn calories, and meet other hikers in a beautiful outdoor setting. Each monthly hike varies in distance and elevation gain. Refer to monthly description (below) for hike specifics. All hikes begin at 8 a.m. at the Wild Burro Trailhead is located within the Ritz Carlton Resort at 14810 North Secret Springs Drive, Marana, AZ. March Hike Description: This month's hike is a great opportunity for beginners. We will be Hiking the Wild Burro Trail (purple trail on the on the Hiking the Tortalita Mountains trail map) to the old stone line shack. This hike is approximately 6 miles long with about 790' elevation gain Plan for 2 - 3 hours.
