MARANA-The Marana Police Department, with support from the Town of Marana, proudly wrapped up its inaugural LaunchPad program for high school juniors and seniors.
The new summer program is designed to help students prepare for life after graduation.
Over the course of five days, students practiced basic skills which included resume building and job interviewing as well as learning about finance and budgeting.
Students also got a unique look at public service with behind-the-scenes tours of several Town of Marana departments and the Northwest Fire District.
"LaunchPad is a community effort to support our teens as they prepare for life after high school. By working together, we’re giving them the tools, guidance, and confidence they need to make strong choices and succeed. It’s about investing in their future and the future of Marana," said Marana Police Chief Jeffrey Pridgett.
LaunchPad is expected to return in summer 2026, with the Marana Police Department continuing to lead the program in collaboration with community partners.
