NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at a Regular Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Marana, the Council shall hold a public hearing. The Town Council will meet for the purpose of considering for possible adoption the fiscal year 2019-2020 Final Budget, on June 18, 2019, starting at or after 7:00 p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex - Council Chambers at 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, Marana, Arizona, 85653.

The general summary of the 2019-2020 Final Budget is as follows:

A complete copy of the estimates of revenues and expenses for the Town of Marana for fiscal year 2019-2020 is on file in the offices of the Town Clerk at 11555 W. Notice is hereby given that statements and estimates have been filed in the Office of the District Clerk of Gladden Farms (Phase II) Community Facilities District of the operation and maintenance expenses of the District, the costs of capital improvements to be financed by the voter-approved ad valorem tax levy, and the amount of all other expenditures for public infrastructure and enhanced municipal services proposed to be paid from the tax levy and of the amount to be raised to pay general obligation bonds of the District, all of which shall be provided for by the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes on the assessed value of all the real and personal property in the District.  Notice is further given of a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget of the District, including (but not limited to) a hearing on those portions of the statements and estimates not relating to debt service on general obligation bonds, all pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes §§48-716 and 48-723.  Such hearing will be held by the District Board on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the Town of Marana Civic Center, 11555 W. PUBLIC NOTICE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

The Town of Marana is seeking a qualified citizen to fill an unexpired term beginning May 2019 and expiring February 28, 2022.

The Marana Board of Adjustment is a 7-member quasi-judicial body of citizens whose main functions are (1) to hear and decide citizen appeals from the Zoning Administrator's interpretations of the Marana zoning regulations; and (2) to consider citizen requests for variances from Marana zoning regulations. Applicants must be Marana residents.

Scheduled meetings are at 2:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers, or as needed.  The deadline to submit an application is June 10, 2019.

All applications will remain active for one year from the date of receipt.
