The Town of Marana, as of August 2018, has 25,815 registered voters with 15,188 of those voters enrolled on the Permanently Early Voting List (PEVL).
Registered independent or party unaffiliated voters are eligible to vote in the Primary election for Town Council. Registered Independents on the PEVL must contact the Pima County Recorder’s Office to request a primary ballot. Independent voters must either request a partisan ballot or a non-partisan, municipality only ballot. Selecting a partisan ballot for the primary election will not affect an independent voter’s registration status
Independent voters choosing to vote at the polls need only request a ballot at their polling place.
Contact the Pima County Recorder’s Office at 520-724-4330 for additional information regarding voter registration and early ballot requests. Paper voter registration forms are also available for pick-up in the Town Clerk’s office.

Historically, the Primary Election determines the winners for open council seats. A candidate will continue to the General Election only if a majority victor cannot be determined at the primary election.
