Marana Police Department Lifesaving Awards and Badge Pinning

On Wednesday, June 9, the Marana Police Department held their annual Badge Pinning and Awards Ceremony. Four officers were honored for their lifesaving actions in the field, and six officers received their badge.  

Lifesaving Award

On January 22, 2021, Officer Jenkins, LPO Cabrera, Sgt. Johnon, and Officer Trapp responded to Premier Storage in reference to a male who collapsed, was not responsive, and stopped breathing. Officers located the individual and administered CPR and two shocks from the AED device. Officers were able to resuscitate the individual prior to paramedics arrival. Northwest Fire and paramedics took over providing medical care, and transported the citizen to the Oro Valley Hospital.

Northwest Fire presented the officers with a plaque, and each officer received the Lifesaving Award for their quick response which helped save this individual.

Badge Pinning Ceremony

The following officers were joined by family and friends for the badge pinning ceremony, and Honorable Judge McDonald administered the Oath of Office.
