Roberto Jimenez appointed Deputy Chief

Deputy Police Chief Roberto Jimenez

MARANA- Roberto Jimenez has been appointed as Deputy Chief of the Town of Marana Police Department, effective February 10, 2024.

Jimenez has more than two decades with the department and more than 30 years in law enforcement. He most recently served as the Marana Police Captain.

“Roberto Jimenez has been an integral part of our department since 1998,” said Marana Police Chief Jeffrey Pridgett. “His extensive experience and deep understanding of law enforcement, our department, and the Town of Marana make him an invaluable asset to our family. Roberto's expertise, management skills, and exemplary leadership will undoubtedly drive our agency to new heights. I am excited and look forward to working alongside him for many years.”

Deputy Chief Jimenez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University and an Associate of Arts Degree from Central Arizona College. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Staff and Command and Senior Management Institute for Police Executive Strategic Management.  

Throughout his tenure, he has taken on various responsibilities and roles, including serving as a SWAT Sergeant for the Pima Regional SWAT Team, School Resource Officer, DT instructor, PT instructor, and Supervisor for MPD’s Wellness Program Fit 4 Duty & Pride 4 the Patch.
