MPD receives grant for child ID program

MARANA- The Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council selected the Marana Police Department as a grant recipient from the Gaming Revenue Sharing Program with an award of $10,000.00.   

This grant will enhance and upgrade the Department’s Child Identification Program by providing the necessary funding to purchase two new Child ID computer systems.  Our Community Resource Unit can continue hosting free events that offer child fingerprinting and photographing for their parent(s) to have on-file in case of emergency circumstances.

With the new funding, the goal is to host bimonthly events throughout the Marana community.
