Marana Mayor recognized for 36 years of service

MARANA- Town of Marana Mayor Ed Honea is being honored for his decades of public service.

The League of Arizona Cities and Towns recognizes service award recipients every year at its annual conference.

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, local elected officials throughout Arizona were recognized for their years of service to their communities. Officials were recognized for 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36 years of service.

Mayor Honea received a standing ovation as he was recognized for the most years of service with 36 years of public service in the state.

Councilmember Roxanne Ziegler was not present at the event, but was also recognized by the League for 20 years of service.
