Town of Marana Honors Dispatcher Tina DeStefano for her years of service with MPD

The Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana commend and thank Tina DeStefano for her lengthy career in public service and her dedication to the Marana community, and urge its citizens join them in congratulating her on her retirement.

Tina DeStefano joined the Marana Police Department on July 22, 1996, as a Police Dispatcher after spending two years as a Mammoth Police Department Dispatcher and three years as a Hayden Police Department Dispatcher.

After spending a total of 30 years in public service, Tina is retiring as a Marana Police Department Dispatcher on July 21, 2021, the first to do so with a full 25 years of service. During her tenure with Marana Police Department, Tina has been the recipient of the Department's Lifesaving Award, Distinguished Service Medal, and Unit Citation, as well as being named the APCO-NENA Dispatcher of the Year.

Her coworkers and colleagues will undoubtedly miss Tina for her comedic yet serious nature when she departs from MPD on July 21, 2021, as she moves on to retirement with her husband, John, son Rusty, daughter Brianna, and grandchildren Harmony and Lennox.
