This class is for anyone who takes photographs and wants to improve them through digital editing. It will give you the basics to move from "ho-hum" pictures to creating interesting images that will capture people's attention.

We will use Photoshop Elements as the editing software for this class because of its affordable cost, ease of use and broad editing potential. We will begin with a basic review of the Photoshop structure of "Layers", using them to create easily edited and re-editable pictures. From there we will review the use of individual editing tools of: Crop; Selection; Clone/Healing; Brightness/Contrast; Levels; Hugh/Saturation; Photo Filter; and Black & White Conversion. You do not need to have your laptop with you at the class. A class outline will be provided to all attendees. 

Please Note: Attendance at this class requires that you purchase, or currently have an older version of, Photoshop Elements. As an alternative, you can also download a 30 day free trial of Elements 2019 from the makers at Adobe at: adobe.com/elements Following Class 1 & 2, homework assignments will be made to practice what was reviewed. Prior to Class 2 & 3, attendees will forward to the instructor "before and after" digital files of 3-5 selected images for discussion at the beginning of the class. The class will be presented in a lecture format and will be held in an indoor setting.
