The Business Services team is glad to assist with establishing new service with the Marana Water department. All requests are received and processed electronically Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm. Any requests made after 4pm will be processed the following business day. The Water Department requires a 24-hour lead time for most requested services (excluding holidays and weekends).

SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT FEES

effective february 24, 2020.

The Town of Marana charges one-time, non-refundable, connection fees for any customer who is applying for water service at an address within our water system. These fees will be applied on the first statement.

There is a $60 water administrative connection fee for all new water customer accounts. Should a customer need the service established on the same day there will be an additional $40 same-day connection fee in addition to the $60. We also have a $10 discount for customers that are active military with valid ID, and customers that are moving from an existing Marana Water account.

Customers with a service address in Continental Reserve, Hartman/Cortaro, or surrounding areas south of Avra Valley Road, you are a Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) customer. Marana Water processes the bills for Pima County RWRD. There is a $20 sewer connection fee for these addresses. Customers with a service address in Saguaro Bloom or in north Marana, are Marana Water Reclamation customers, and have a $10 sewer connection fee.

Water and sewer bills will be on one statement, which will be mailed from the Town of Marana. Only service addresses that are connected to a sewer system will receive sewer charges on the statement.



SECURITY DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

In addition to the one-time connection fees, the Town of Marana requires all customers to pay a refundable security deposit. The deposit amount depends on the size of the meter at the property, and the amounts can be found on the Rates and Fees page.

The security deposit must be paid by 4:00PM on the business day prior to service commencement date. Failure to pay the required security deposit before the due date will result in a disconnection of water service. We are able to waive the security deposit for customers that will be the owner, and primary resident in the home, by collecting three (3) letters of good standing from previous utility companies (gas, electric, water, etc.). The security deposit can be made by: 

  • Phone with a debit/credit card or banking account by calling (520) 382-1999;

  • Mailing in a check or money order to 11555 W. Civic Center Dr, Marana, AZ 85653;

  • Dropping off a payment to our payment location;

    • Administration Building, 11555 W. Civic Center Dr (Barnett Rd and Civic Center Dr).
