The 2018 Marana Bluegrass & Acoustic Music Festival returns to the Town on April 13-15 with a new location. The Desert Bluegrass Association and the Town of Marana have joined together to host the festival which will be held at the Gladden Farms Community Park (12205 N Tangerine Farms Rd, Marana, AZ 85653)
The fun-filled weekend begins with a free concert featuring special original music performed by local singer-songwriters Friday evening at 4:00 p.m.. Beginning Saturday there will be non-stop music each day. Nine national and regionally known bands will perform from 10:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the great music, there will be workshops to improve your music skills taught by professional musicians, and special activities for children and beginning musicians that includes a workshop and instrument “petting zoo”.
Food will be provided by some of Arizona’s best food vendors. There will also be craft and Information booths, a silent auction, and door prizes. A raffle of musical instruments generously donated by music stores in Arizona will round out the Festival.
There is camping available at $10.00 per day; tent camping is free. Camping spaces are limited and requires pre-paid registration and purchase of a weekend pass.
