CRIME ANALYSIS

Crime and Traffic Information

Marana crime and motor vehicle accident maps have been made available online and are intended to provide an overview of incident counts in an area measuring approximately one-quarter square mile.  The results are based on the primary offense from an incident report.  The individual maps are grouped by multiple FBI uniform crime classifications as listed and by geographic area for reported crimes and motor vehicle accidents.   Please be aware, although a crime type or classification may be listed, not all listed classifications may be experienced in Marana during the listed reporting period.  This information is provided strictly as a courtesy to the public for reference only.

The grid measurement applied represents the smallest section in the Public Land Survey System; township/ranges are subdivided into 36 sections.  Each section is approximately one square mile.  The grids displayed with the counts are quarter-section boundaries, approximately one-quarter square mile.   The counts are based on the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting standards.  For further FBI uniform crime reporting information, please visit website:  www.fbi.gov/ucr/ucr.htm.
